XR5 / ST225 302mm Rear Brake Upgrade

Upgrade from standard 280mm to 302mm rear brake setup as factory fitted to MK3 Focus RS models. These caliper brackets allow you to use a 302mm rear rotor while retaining the standard XR5 caliper, rock shield and knuckles. Simple and easy!

If you have already upgraded the front brakes in any way, this kit can be of benefit.

This upgrade is typically desired for two different reasons.

• Users wanting more braking power - often used in unison with uprated slotted / dimpled front brake rotors and performance pads.
• Users that have previously fitted a set of larger front callipers. Help balance the brake bias to match Focus MK3 RS specs.

Brake setup consists of:

Front:

• Focus On Performance Brembo 4 Pot Caliper Upgrade 

Rear:

XRV CP 302mm Rear Brake Upgrade 

• Powerstop Extreme Ceramic Pads
• Hel Performance Braided brake lines

On track testing, the rear 302mm upgrade delivered 2 benefits:

1. Upon hard braking the vehicle was more stable and planted than previously before.
2. Straight line braking performance / power was increased.

NOTE:

• Used with factory XR5 rear caliper - same as MK3 RS rear caliper.
• Rotors pictured represent Powerstop drilled & slotted rotor pair
• This product is also compatible for XR5 / ST225 with an AWD conversion.
