Camshaft Position Sensor

A replacement camshaft position sensor designed to accurately report the position of the camshaft to the engine ECU. This information is essential for the ECU to correctly control engine timing and fuel injection, and is required for the engine to run correctly.

The intake and exhaust camshaft position sensors are identical and interchangeable, meaning the same sensor can be used on either side of the engine. The vehicle requires two sensors in total, one for the intake camshaft and one for the exhaust camshaft.

Camshaft position sensors can deteriorate or fail over time and may cause issues such as difficult starting, poor engine performance, misfires or engine management faults. If a sensor is suspected to be faulty, it is recommended to confirm the fault with appropriate diagnostic equipment before replacement.
