Air Oil Separator (Breather) - XR5 / MK2 RS

Reduce crankcase pressure and help prevent common issues caused by excessive crankcase pressure, including leaking oil filter housings and blown engine seals. Unlike a traditional catch can, this air oil separator is designed to effectively vent crankcase pressure while separating oil vapor before it exits the system.

Stage Selection

Stage 1: Single Breather
Ideal for tuned street cars. Vents crankcase pressure from a single engine breather point (oil filter housing), providing a simple and effective solution for many road driven vehicles. The hose coming from the cam cover is removed and blanked off with a cap.

Stage 2: Dual Breather
The ultimate crankcase ventilation setup. Vents from two engine breather locations for maximum breathing capacity making it the preferred option for higher horsepower, track driven or heavily modified vehicles. Vented from the cam cover and the oil filter housing.

Breather Option

Hidden Hose:
Routes the breather hose behind the engine and under the vehicle. The hose can be secured to the chassis or subframe using cable ties. A great option for owners wanting a discreet installation or those in states with stricter regulations regarding exposed engine bay breathers / filters

Open Breather Filter:
A compact breather filter mounted directly to the air oil separator, allowing crankcase pressure to vent straight from the engine bay. Simple, clean and easy to service.

AN Wrench Option

No AN Wrench Required:
Select this option if you already own suitable AN spanners or wrenches.

Include Adjustable AN Wrench:
Recommended for first-time installers. Designed to tighten AN fittings without damaging the anodized finish. Using a standard steel adjustable spanner will typically mark and scratch the fittings.
